Take a run, stroll, or go exploring through the suburban oasis known as Volunteer Park. At this Capitol Hill gem, you’ll not only find running trails through the gorgeous greenery, but you can explore your inner botanist at the Volunteer Park Conservatory, check out some amazing eastern treasures at The Asian Art Museum, or even relax in the grass with a book. If you really want the ultimate viewpoint, you can climb the stairs of the Water Tower, built in 1906, to get a 365 degree view of Downtown, the Space Needle, the Olympic Mountains, the Cascade Mountains, and Lake Washington. Local secret? Walk a few blocks to Volunteer Park Café to grab an espresso and the best cookie you will ever have. You deserve it after all of that exploring!Contact Us
Just like the song goes, “Ohhh… I love the nightlife, I got to boogie!” There is no better epicenter of dancing, dining, and drinking than Capitol Hill. Just a quick climb up Pike Street will deliver you to the heart of fun! Start with happy hour at Poquitos with the “must try” Molé Fries (their version of poutine). Next up, grab a cocktail and some pinball at the Unicorn, a circus themed two-story mainstay of eccentricity. Continue on to Neumos, right around the corner, to get your dance on. At Barboza on Friday nights you will find “Bootie Seattle”, a long-running DJ mashup night hosted internationally. Now that you have the music thumpin’ through your veins, hit up The Crescent Lounge (Pine & Olive) for Karaoke, Capitol Hill’s oldest LGBTQA bar, where all are welcome. Have fun!Contact Us
Travelling with children? Check out Bainbridge Island - perfect for kids of all ages. A soothing 35 minute ferry ride away, it’s a favorite place to enjoy a little taste of paradise. It’s very family friendly and offers parks for the little ones to play and wine tasting for the adults. Bainbridge also boasts some great restaurants and coffee shops. The Town and Country market, which is their local neighborhood market, dating back to 1957, offers fresh produce, a deli, and even self-serve essential oils, shampoo, bar soap, etc. It is a must see. It’s a great excursion for the family or even by yourself, plus it’s a great, and quick, way to get away from the city for a little bit.Contact Us
